Message Well, I called them on Wednesday and told the service guy what the problem was ( Misfiring in the number 1 cylinder). I also told him that Stillen didn't test the car after all the work was done ( port, polish, blue print, balance, 3 & 5 angle job, JE pistons, steel springs, JUN cam gears, etc). The first time I got the car back September 1999, the Level 10 transmission went out on me. Of course it was a brand new tranny but for some reason it went out and Level 10 reaired it free of charge. After the tranny came back they put the car back together and gave it back to me (October 1999). They didn't dyno it, or do any tests. I believe they took me on one test run, but that was before the tranny went out. They kept telling me "Do you want it done right, or do you want it right now". After 11 months of waiting I want it right now.

So now I'm in a situation where they've forgotten to put parts on my car that were paid for, and here it is now not even two years yet and the engine is going crazy on me, and the people that helped me aren't there anymore. And after talking to their mechanic that worked on it, he said that he didn't remember if he installed the JUN cam gears I paid for. That would mean that they would have to remove the cam gear plates in order to check for them. This is getting to be a frustrating project. I just want my car running the way it should, with ALL the horsepower they claim it should have. Cause the last time I dyno'd it was last year during their open house. And to everyone's suprise, it didn't do too well. Somewhere around the high 300's or something. Realistically, my car should be hitting the 500's with everything I had done to it according to their charts (I'm suppose to be at Stillen's STAGE 11). They said it was a bad ignition coil connector, so I got it fixed a week or two later. Now it's turning out to be the same cylinder that had the bad ignition coil connector. I also took it to Specialty-Z, and Pierre Z, and both of them tested it with the compression being at ONLY 30 pounds.

This is definately something I wont take laying down, and if I have to I'll take it to court. And for the amount of money I've forked over to them, I deserve something done right.

What are your thoughts?

Jo.
